Prayer

Jesus said ‘without me you can do nothing’. In Cambray we are acutely aware of this. So, we want to use every prayer opportunity possible, and we encourage everyone to make prayer a priority. Some of the opportunities for prayer are given below.

Prayer Central

When:
7:30pm – 9:00pm, every first Thursday of the month.
Where:
Cambray Baptist Church School room (Enter through church side-entrance)
What:
Changing format each month, on some months we will concentrate on prayer for our Missionaries, on others there will be prayer for the work of the church, and on others we will lead times of praise and worship. In every session there is some time to pray for the physical and spiritual needs.

Sunday Prayer

When:
10:10am – 10:25am and 6:10pm-6:30pm, every Sunday before each service
Where:
Cambray Baptist Church Deacon’s Vestry (to the left of the stage)
What:
Everyone is welcome to join those leading the service in order to pray before the service for the work of God amongst us by His Spirit.

Prayer Ministry is available after each service … listen for announcements.

Ministry Prayer

When:
Before and/or after each meeting of the Ministry
Where:
See your Ministry leaders for details
What:
We ask every ministry to surround the work of their ministry with prayer. This starts with the planning sessions for the new term, where part of the planning meetings will be devoted to prayer. But it also entails each ministry meeting, where the team serving will meet to pray before and/or after the ministry. If you are a part of a ministry within Cambray, we expect these times of prayer to be a priority.

Small Group Prayer

When:
Second and Fourth weeks of each month
Where:
Various locations … see the Small Groups page
What:
The Small Groups are our location for on-going discipleship, growing together in the Lord. A vital part of this is our prayer for one another. Join a group to pray for one another in the group and find a set of prayer partners who will pray with you through each week.

PRAYER CHAIN

We run a prayer chain in which you will receive emails with particular prayer requests from others in the church. If you would like them to pray for you, or you would like to be a part of the prayer chain, please let us know.
