HENRY OLONGA – Faith, Art & Cricket

September 14, 2009 @ 7:00 pm – 10:00 pm

As a right arm fast bowler Henry was the first black player to represent Zimbabwe in 1995 and he helped the team to its first ever Test victory. Henry along team mate Andy Flower wore a black armband in a Cricket World Cup match, in 2003, to protest against the policies of Robert Mugabe. An arrest warrant was issued and after that he fled the country.

He is now pursuing a career as a singer and artist.

Henry will talk to us about his life and faith and will close the evening with a few of his songs.
