Students
Students
As a Church we want to make students feel as welcome as possible. Knowing that students have numerous commitments at college or university, Cambray offers a good welcome, with the invitation for students to participate as much or as little as they wish. The welcome is there to make Cambray church family a valuable part of the student experience. As a church we are keen to help you with your walk with Jesus whether you have been a Christian for years or you are still undecided.
We like to encourage Christian students to be actively involved in the Christian Union, as we believe this is a great chance to meet other Christians and, be part of a mission team on campus. We have been encouraged by the good number of students who are eager to grow spiritually and get involved in church life. Many of our students have been involved with our different music groups, the youth work and also our Discipleship Explored courses. Some like to get involved with Cambray’s football team who are currently the league champions.
Lunches
After Sunday morning services a free lunch is available every Sunday during term time. This is an opportunity for students to have a cooked lunch in the homes of church families week by week. This is a fantastic opportunity to build relationships with one another and get to know those within the church.
After 8
Following the evening service there is a relaxed chill out time for students, up in the Church lounge. It is called “After 8” - it is a time to sit and chat, play games, talk about the Bible or a time to ask questions and find out more. We provide biscuits and drinks and we sometimes get pizza or cakes in for you to enjoy.
The Student workers are Dave Piper, Hannah Kershaw and Sam Witek - feel free to contact Dave Piper and the team at apprentice@cambray.org.
